A daybed is the ultimate piece of multifunctional furniture - free from any specific association with a particular room or typology in the Western sense.
It can serve for sleeping, sitting, or reclining, virtually anywhere - even outdoors.
Our daybed extends this multifunctionality into a principle of modularity.
A grid is superimposed onto a poured platform of recycled aluminum, forming a sculpted landscape. Cushions in standardized sizes are placed atop the irregular, sand-cast surface, while the wooden feet snap precisely into the grid. The result is a flexible system that can take on multiple configurations and exist in various sizes, according to individual needs. Combined, the daybeds can form a landscape of their own.
The aluminum is locally sourced and cast, the feet are crafted from European wood, and the cushions incorporate an innovative mycelium-based material produced in a European tannery - completely free of animal products.
